====================================
Q) Where did your unit name "I am Robot and Proud" come from? Please tell me some episodes about the name.
A) Well, the name comes from the comic Astroboy.. when i was in highschool, I made a tape with a few songs on it to give to my friends, and I used the title "I am Robot and Proud". Ever since i have kept that name :)
Q)『Electricity In Your House Wants To Sing』got a long hit also in Japan. Of course, it is because of the wonderfulness of the tune. But, how did you feel about the fact that it got a hit and popularity, even you did not appear so much in media? And, how do you think about present media circumstances?
A) This is difficult for me to answer. honestly I don't really know why it has been successful, I think I'm really lucky! but I think it's true, the structure of media is changing these days. people are able to hear music and connect with artists through the internet... I think most people who have heard my music have found it through the internet and definately not on the radio or tv, or things like that.
Q) (I read an interview article in a web magazine before. ) I think your music has something makes people in happy feelings. And I've heard that you did not have any intentions especially about it. Anyway, we are gathering many kinds of articles as GoodNews, what kinds of "GOOD" do you want to give people through the music?
A) I have so much fun when I'm making my music and playing live, I think that is the "good news" that comes from my music. People often tell me that my music is "nostalgic" or reminds them of childhood. I think it might be because I approach music in a very naive and un-calculated, way... I just try and sit down with my instruments and enjoy the process of creating the songs.
…to be continued interview (2/3) !
