『デザイン対デザイン』展 “Design contra Design” Exhibition (3/3) |

身体にとって座るため一番居心地のよいのは身体ではないのか？Ruth Franckenの椅子は不気味な二重性と、人間が人間の身体の中で平静にくつろぐことをミックスさせる。貝殻、まゆ、クモの巣、子宮(womb)さえも、デザインの探求と適用の対象とする“肉体建築”（corpo-architectural）になる。
Atelier Van Lieshoutのデザインたちは誕生の起源、子宮を建築的な側面（反復、構成、ヴォリューム）から見るだけではなく、ばらばらの部分的なオブジェとしても表現する。身体－オブジェ‐場所。 ２０世紀の流れはスタイルというものをキャンセルしたと思われているが、スタイルは引用、変形、転回、あざけりとして回帰する。「スタイル」に注目するオブジェは、デザインにおける混合を見せながら、西洋と東洋の伝統を明らかにさせる。
Joris Laarmanのヒータは物理的にも、視覚的にも鑑賞者を暖める。流れている、走っている、エネルギッシュな装飾はアジアの情熱を暗示しながら我々を熱する。もっとも固体的な物質の一つであるコンクリートは、暖かさの絶え間ない流れに突き抜かれ、その不動的な性格を裏切る。 『デザイン対デザイン』：パラドクス、矛盾、そして多様性。デザインは安定されていない。デザインは掛け算されている、広がる、逃げる、自分自身に反対しているそして自分の定義を脱出する。

What can be more comfortable for our body to sit in… than body? Chair of Ruth Francken is a mix of uncanny duplicity with a tranquil relaxation of the man in his own form. The Shell, the cocoon, the web and even the womb are corpo - architectural pieces that influence the Design. The exhibition explores the architecture of the Objects. The origin of birth, The Womb, is seen by designers of Atelier Van Lieshout not only from its architectural side (repetition, construction, volume) but as a separated partial object. Body-object-place. I came out from the Womb (the body), I hold it in my hands (the object), I build it to go back (the place). It is believed that the style was washed out on the run of the 20th century, but it returns now in the form of a quotation, deformation, rotation and derision. The Section “Style” exposes the mix of patterns in Design objects and depict western and eastern tradition in contemporary objects. This radiator of Joris Laarman warms a man not only physically, but visually as well. Streaming, running, energetic ornamental pattern heat us up hinting on oriental passion. One of the most solid material, concrete, totally gives up his unmovable character being pierced by uninterruptible flux of warmth. “Design contra Design”: paradoxes, contradictions and verity. 日本のデザインの展
日本のデザインの展覧会は、毎回同じようなデザイナーの顔ぶれで、確かにいいデザインなんだけど新鮮味に欠ける気が最近してました。こんなデザイン展が日本であれば観にいきたいなあ。デザインの捉え方の深さみたいなものを感じました。
Antti Lovagという
Antti Lovagというフランスの建築家が作った「Bubble House」という建築がありますが、「子宮」と聞いてこの家を連想しました。幾何学的なデザインより、こういうデザインの方が案外落ち着くのかも。そういえばこの家が2005年に売りに出されてたのを思い出しました。
